Because of this we have to impose a very tight deadline for the submission of the participants contributions. The deadline for the submission is Friday July 16, 2010 (23:59 PDT). Please, send the following files:
The maximum number of pages for each contribution are:
Instructions and templates can be found on the PASP web page under: www.aspbooks.org/instru_temp_mac A gzipped tar file that contains all the relevant files for authors can be found here. This includes a copyright form, which has to be signed and returned to a member of the LOC before the conference is over.

If this is in your plans please let us know well in advance. Proceedings The proceedings of this conference will be published in the Astronomical Society of the Pacific Conference Series. The volume will be a successor to "New Perspectives on the Interstellar Medium" (ASP Conf. Series Vol. 168), the proceedings of a meeting held at the same venue in 1998. That book is still frequently cited in the scientific literature, and we expect the same impact from the 2010 meeting. More information about the conference proceedings and the submission of contributions is now available on the conference web page. Style files for authors are available there, as is the e-mail address for submission of manuscripts. Please note that the absolute upper limit for file size is 20 megabytes! Tourism The Okanagan Valley is a tourist destination. A little searching on the web will reveal many opportunities. If you have questions about such opportunities around the time of the conference we will do our best to help. Currency The Canadian dollar is currently almost equal in value to the American dollar. We are looking forward to seeing you all in Naramata. For the LOC Roland Kothes
Sunday June 6 to Thursday June 10, 2010 Naramata, BC, Canada The Conference The Canadian Galactic Plane Survey team invites you to participate in a conference that celebrates the success of the Canadian Galactic Plane Survey and the impact of this ground-breaking survey of the Milky way on ISM research over the past decade. The Canadian Galactic Plane Survey (CGPS) has been a spectacularly successful project, advancing our understanding of the Milky Way Galaxy through panoramic imaging of the main constituents of the Interstellar Medium. The CGPS data comprises radio observations of atomic hydrogen and radio continuum emission, including polarized signal, at arcminute resolution and high spatial dynamic range, observed with the DRAO Synthesis Telescope. Coupled with equally detailed images of the dust and molecular gas, these data have significantly advanced our understanding of the structure and "ecology" of the Interstellar Medium, and the archived data will continue to advance this field for many years to come. The CGPS experience has demonstrated the central role that surveys can play in advancing astrophysical research. As we stand poised before a new generation of telescopes designed primarily as survey instruments, it is time to assess the state of the field. The program for the conference is designed to bring together scientists working on the ISM of the Milky Way and nearby galaxies to discuss both observations and theoretical models of the ISM.
Details about the conference can be found on a web page at: Important Dates
Conference attendance must be limited to 90. We recommend early registration. The Program of the Conference The Scientific Organizing Committee has designed a program to cover all major themes in ISM research. The review speakers invited to present tutorial lectures are as follows:

Arriving by Air The nearest airport is Penticton (with flights from Vancouver only), about 20km from Naramata. Rental cars are available at the airport. Taxis service to Naramata is also available, at a cost of about C$40 per trip. The next nearest airport is Kelowna (80km from Naramata), a larger airport with more frequent flights from Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Seattle. Rental cars are available there. The LOC will arrange shuttles from both Penticton and Kelowna airports to the Naramata Centre (at modest cost to participants). This service is by prior arrangement only, so when registering please tell us the details of your arrival (airport, airline, flight number, arrival time, number in party). Road Transportation from Vancouver to Penticton
Driving from Vancouver You can take Highway 3 (Crowsnest Highway) through Manning Provincial Park to the town of Princeton, continuing on to Keremeos. At Keremeos take Highway 3A to the junction with Highway 97. Turn north on Highway 97 to Penticton. The total distance from Vancouver to Penticton using this route is 395 kilometres. The other possibility when approaching Hope is to take Highway 5 (Coquihalla Highway) towards the town of Merritt. Note that this is a toll highway which will cost you CAD 10 for most private vehicles (CAD 5 for motorcycles). As you approach Merritt, take Highway 97C (Okanagan Connector) and continue to the junction with Highway 97 at Okanagan Lake. Take Highway 97 south to Penticton. The total distance from Vancouver to Penticton using this route is 425 kilometres. Although shorter in distance, the Crowsnest route is more twisty and a bit slower (about a 5 hour drive) than the Coquihalla route (4 to 4.5 hours). On the other hand, the Crowsnest route does not have any tolls, has nice scenery, and has more places to stop for food and fuel.
