Astrophysically Important Spectral Lines

This WG has the important task of finalizing the list of spectral lines and presenting it to the IAU as a resolution urging protection of the appropriate frequency bands. This will be a crucial step leading up to the next Work Radio Conference in 2003. The committee were very active during the year leading up to the last General Assembly. The committee has prepared a revised list of important lines that is much more complete in the mm-submillimeter wavelength regime. It has to be vetted in the community and refined. This wavelength regime is the important "frontier" in spectrum protection and management.
